About West Mitchell Farms
Our History
Our small farm was begun in 2022 with the addition of a handful of laying hens, and one unplanned rooster. We moved into goats, adding three to the farm. They became our lawn mowers who occasionally faint. The female in the trio was pregnant without our knowledge from the farm we got them from, and produced a little bundle of joy, Doug. You'll meet Doug on this page.
We have added more laying hens, some silly looking chickens, and a number of bee hives.
We have since brought in more laying hens, increased our number of hives, and will add turkeys to the flock. We sell our eggs and honey in our printing store in Mason City, at farmers markets, and other events we attend.
